Class is designed to relieve stress, tension and pain – through creative sequencing. Helps with motor coordination, balance, and muscle tension. When you work all day the brain functions in a deeply concentrated state known as the beta state. The motor cortex – the part of the brain that works with motor coordination (especially if you sit all day or perform repetitive movements) gets taxed. Reflexes are weaker as the muscles needed to perform optimally are under or over utilized. Yoga type movements like these will stimulate body systems and activate the motor cortex in your brain to keep the messages from the brain to the body and from the body to the brain more vibrant and responsive.
Muscles wake up. You become more alert. You feel more balance, refreshed. Each class is different. We do not repeat the same movements over and over. It’s fun. It’s invigorating.
